Imported from Lebanon.
The Salem family established Tripoli Restaurant in 1973. Once located directly across the street, the restaurant moved in 1982 to the present larger location. The Salem family is originally from the city of Tripoli in Lebanon. When they came to the United States, they found that there were only a few Middle Eastern restaurants around, but hardly any of them were really that good. They decided to open a restaurant where you could get a good home-cooked Lebanese meal the way mom used to make.
With a staggeringly extensive, aggressive menu, you can get all the old traditional Lebanese favorites. Enjoy hummus that is light, smooth and rich with flavors of garlic and premium olive oil. Some highlights of the menu include smoky babaganouj, lebni and lamb prepared every which way by an attentive kitchen staff. It's a place for both the neophyte and the more adventurous eater, at prices that are just right.
Shish Kabob—Charcoal broiled lamb and vegetables; served with rice and salad
Kifta Mishwiye—Charcoal broiled ground leg of lamb mixed with vegetables and spices; served with rice and hommos
Yachneh B’leban—Stew of lamb chunks cooked in yogurt; served with rice
Seleck B’loubia—Celery and black eye beans sautéed with a mixture of onion, garlic and fresh coriander; served with salad
Sumki Hara—Sautéed fish filet cooked in a spicy sauce made with chopped almonds and walnuts; served with rice
Tripoli Shrimp—Shrimp sautéed in Provencale sauce, prepared with garlic, cilantro and butter; served with rice and salad
Absolutely the best Lebanese food anywhere!

I'd give it zero stars but that isn't an option! Food was completely inedible. It smelled off but I gave it a chance. I took one bite of each item and threw it all away. It tasted old, stale, oily and rancid. Lentil and Bulgar salad shouldn't be soggy. The Foul was an oil slick. The hummus was worse than store bought. The falafel tasted about 3 weeks old. My tummy hurts from the few bites.

The appetizers were excellent, but my sandwich arrived soggy and manhandled.
